 Gardening in May

The focus for May is of course Mother's Day Sunday 12th May.


Phalaenopsis Orchids, Chrysanthemums, Cyclamen and Anthuriums are in full flower and looking amazing.


Now is the perfect time to plant winter vegetables including Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Snow Peas, Lettuce and Silverbeet.


Winter annuals planted early will provide colour throughout the cooler season. These include Pansy, Sweet peas, Violas, Snapdragons, Primulas and Poppys.


The recent wet weather is making gardening challenging. Remove saucers from pots to ensure drainage.
